Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 2.3% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,022,795 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,996 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,966 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,017,826 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 2.2% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 23.5% of total generation, while natural gas and solar plants contributed 18.1% and 14.2%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 13,506 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 18,288 megawatt-hours.
