Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.17% to 776,669 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 37,135 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 26,478 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.
Electricity production totaled 776,405 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 1.9% increased compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 205,371 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and lignite plants followed with 156,005 megawatt-hours and 124,538 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,371 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 8,635 megawatt-hours.
