Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 1.94% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 882,624 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
TEIAS data showed that hourly power consumption peaked at 42,187 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT) and the country's electricity consumption fell to 29,290 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 871,848 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 1.74% compared to Monday.
Imported coal plants contributed 27.5% of total generation, while natural gas and lignite power plants supplied 25.3% and 14.3%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 10,250 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 21,026 megawatt-hours.
