Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 1.5% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 944,349 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,553 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,220 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 942,586 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of 1.5% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.6% and 19.5%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,216 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 6,990 megawatt-hours.
