Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 3.02% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 849,604 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
TEIAS data showed that hourly power consumption peaked at 40,594 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT) and the country's electricity consumption fell to 28,668 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 831,217 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 3.74% compared to Monday.
Imported coal plants contributed 28.1% of total generation, while natural gas plants and wind lignite contributed 20.76% and 14.03%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,030 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 24,417 megawatt-hours.
