Raheem Sterling on Wednesday joined Chelsea from Manchester City.

Sterling signed a five-year-deal with the London club, Chelsea announced.

"First and foremost, it's a pleasure to be here," the 27-year-old attacker said. "I've obviously achieved a lot in my career so far, but there is still so much more to achieve and I'm really looking forward to doing that in a Chelsea shirt, under Thomas's management."

Previously on the same day, Sterling wrote a farewell message to his old club, Manchester City, on Instagram saying, "Seven seasons, eleven major trophies, a lifetime of memories (..) What a ride it's been."

The English winger thanked the Citizens and said: "It's been an honour to wear the shirt of Manchester City."

Sterling, who joined Man City in 2015 from rivals Liverpool, scored 131 goals and made 94 assists in 337 games for the Blues. He bagged four English Premier League titles in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022, and one FA Cup in 2019 with the Citizens.
