Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 2.08% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 883,068 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
TEIAS data showed that hourly power consumption peaked at 41,701 megawatt-hours at 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT) and the country's electricity consumption fell to 29,520 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 874,255 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 2.17% compared to Monday.
Natural gas plants contributed 32.2% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite power plants supplied 27.3% and 11.8%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 8,897 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 17,710 megawatt-hours.
