Madagascar minister survives helicopter crash after swimming 12 hours
Helicopter crashed off island's northeastern coast on Monday, according to authorities

Madagascar's Secretary of State for Police Serge Gelle on Tuesday survived a helicopter crash after swimming for 12 hours with another survivor from the incident.
According to the island's police authorities, the helicopter carrying the 57-year-old minister crashed on Monday at Madagascar's northeastern coast.
A video of the minister was shared by the country's Defense Ministry showed Gelle lying on a deck chair with his camouflage uniform.
"My time to die hasn't come yet," he said.
