Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz received Syrian Interior Minister Anas Hattab at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Monday.

“Strengthening security in Syria is also of vital importance for consolidating internal peace, economic development, and social welfare,” Yilmaz said in a statement on X.

He said that Türkiye will continue to support Syria’s stability, the development of its institutional capacity, and governance that is inclusive of all segments.

“Our wish is the establishment of an environment in which our Syrian brothers and sisters equally enjoy fundamental rights and freedoms under an inclusive and legitimate administration,” Yilmaz said.

He reaffirmed that Ankara will continue to strongly support Syria’s stability, territorial integrity, and sovereignty.

At the meeting, Türkiye’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya was also present.

“We discussed cooperation opportunities between our Ministries, particularly in the field of security,” Yerlikaya wrote on X.
