Karl-Anthony Towns dropped over 40 points in his second straight game for the New York Knicks on Thursday.
Towns rallied the Knicks to a 149-148 overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks with 44 points and 10 rebounds at Madison Square Garden.
He produced 40 points against the Indiana Pacers in the previous game.
Towns' teammate Jalen Brunson contributed with 36 points, while Hawks' guard Trae Young scored 38 for his side.
The Knicks lay at the third spot with 36 wins and 18 losses, while Atlanta are ranked ninth with 26 wins and 29 losses in the Eastern Conference standings.
