John Eustace appointed Derby County head coach
45-year-old signs contract with second division club English until summer of 2028

ISTANBUL
English Championship club Derby County confirmed the appointment of John Eustace as the new head coach on Thursday.
"I'm excited to welcome John back to Derby County. Fans will remember him for his craft, commitment and intelligence. He was a real leader," club owner David Clowes said after the signing ceremony.
"He helped both Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City avoid relegation, before taking Birmingham to sixth place prior to his departure. He has repeated that achievement at Blackburn Rovers, leaving behind a team in the play-off places."
John signed the contract until the summer of 2028, and his duties began immediately.
The 45-year-old will be supported by Matt Gardiner as assistant head coach and Keith Downing as the First Team coach, forming his coaching staff.
John has also managed Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, and Derby County. During his managerial career, he oversaw 226 matches, achieving 98 wins and 53 draws.
