Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 3.6% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 846,637 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,688 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,062 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 843,670 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking an increase of 3.35% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from hydropower plants constituted 22.2% of total generation, while wind and lignite plants contributed 15.9% and 14%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 10,597 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,564 megawatt-hours.
