Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 4.75% to 727,110 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 34,286 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 26,346 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production totaled 732,433 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 4.73% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 207,882 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and lignite followed with 173,568 megawatt-hours and 136,363 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,111 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 5,789 megawatt-hours.
