Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.5% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,186,952 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 56,225 megawatt-hours at 4 p.m. local time (1300 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,501 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,201,866 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of about 0.4% compared to Thursday
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 22.7% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 20% and 19.6%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 20,815 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,906 megawatt-hours.
