Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 1.05% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 884,134 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ) on Saturday.
According to TEİAŞ data, hourly power consumption peaked at 42,050 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT). The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,780 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production on Friday amounted to 897,641 megawatt-hours, marking a 0.39% decrease compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 25.1% of total generation, while wind and lignite plants contributed 17.4% and 13.2%, respectively.
On Friday, Türkiye's electricity exports totaled 15,637 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,955 megawatt-hours.
