Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 3.84% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 903,536 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 43,528 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,319 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 917,031 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 3.92% increase from Monday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 25.9% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 16.1%, while imported coal power plants held a 15% share.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,578 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,474 megawatt-hours.
