Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.43% to 795,824 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 38,028 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,197 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 797,161 megawatt-hours on Wednesday with a 0.61% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 202,853 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and lignite plants followed with 185,420 megawatt-hours and 94,871 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,645 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 8,716 megawatt-hours.
