Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.9% to 768,367 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 37,337 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,152 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.
Electricity production totaled 768,049 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.9% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 195,853 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and hydro plants followed with 146,045 megawatt-hours and 130,843 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,725 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 7,043 megawatt-hours.
