Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.67% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 903,635 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,254 megawatt-hours at 19.00 local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,686 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 902,650 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.66% decrease compared to Thursday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 22.5% while lignite plants comprised 14.7%.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,927 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 8,034 megawatt-hours.
