Anadolu Agency’s Macedonian desk celebrates 5th year

SKOPJE, North Macedonia

Turkey’s leading news provider Anadolu Agency’s Macedonian language service marked its fifth anniversary on Monday.

The agency launched the service, based in North Macedonia's capital Skopje, on Nov. 9, 2015 as part of its 100th year vision.

The service, which operates together with the Albanian language, has become an important news source in the country within five years.

So far, the service has published more than 66,600 news articles, 23,000 photo galleries, and nearly 15,000 videos from the Balkans, Turkey, and the world.

Continuing its work without losing momentum by following the advices of officials amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, the service covered all COVID-19 developments from the Balkans, Turkey, and around globe.

Albanian and Macedonian News Desk also provides its subscribers and readers with photographs, videos, and infographics.

Anadolu Agency boasts 41 offices worldwide and produces news stories in 13 languages -- Turkish, English, Arabic, French, BHS (Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian), Russian, Kurmanji, Sorani, Farsi, Albanian, Macedonian, Indonesian, and Spanish.
