Super typhoon leaves 5 dead, 3 missing in Philippines
Typhoon Noru also displaced nearly 52,000 people, say authorities

At least five people died and three others went missing after super typhoon Noru, locally known as Karding, hit the Philippines on Sunday.
Philippines National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said on Tuesday those killed were rescuers in Bulacan province in the Central Luzon region.
Authorities reported three people missing in Mercedes town, Camarines Norte province in the Luzon region.
Karding, the 11th tropical cyclone to hit the archipelago nation this year, lashed Central Luzon with torrential rains and fierce winds.
Northern and southern parts of the Luzon region were also affected.
The council said over 60,000 people from 16,476 families were affected due to the typhoon which led to the displacement of close to 52,000 people.
