Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, the caretaker Prime Minister of the Pakistani interim government, on Monday took oath and began serving until the Pakistani elections of May 11.
Khoso took oath in the presence of Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and judges of the Pakistani Constitutional Court. Khoso will prepare Pakistan for the elections of May 11.
Khoso (84) was appointed as the caretaker prime minister by the Pakistani High Election Commission and is considered a "reasonable name" by both the ruling party and the opposition.
Khoso will have 12 ministers in his cabinet.
Speaking to the press after having been appointed as caretaker prime minister, Khoso underlined that he would work so that the elections would take place in security, in a fair and transparent way.
Pakistani army toppled four times elected governments and ruled Pakistan for over 30 years.
The elections of May are crucial for democracy of Pakistan, a country with a population of around 180 million people.
