KIRKUK/TUZ KHURMATU (AA) - March 26, 2013 - Bomb blasts in Iraq's city of Kirkuk and district of Tuz Khurmatu killed three people and injured four others on Tuesday.
A bomb explosion in front of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) office in Kirkuk injured three KDP guards.
According to the officials, in Kirkuk a bomb detonated on Arafa street when KDP security guards were passing by.
The wounded were hospitalized in the Kirkuk Republic Hospital. Health officials said that the wounded were in good condition.
In a separate bomb blast in Tuz Khurmatu, a district in Salahaddin state, two state assembly members and one security guard were killed and the governor was seriously wounded.
The bomb exploded on the side-way used by the official vehicles two kilometres west of Tuz Khurmatu during the passing of the armored car of the Governor Shalul Abdal Ahmad, assembly member Rashid Khurshed and assembly speaker Qadir Saleh.
Governor Ahmad was hospitalized in Kirkuk State Hospital.
Security measures have been intensified in Kirkuk and Salahaddin following the blasts.
