At least 26 missiles have been fired on Israel from the Gaza Strip thus far on Sunday, Israeli media said.
It added, however, that the rocket attacks did not leave human casualties behind.
More than nine rockets were launched from Gaza at Israel’s Ashkelon, Netivot and Beer Sheba areas, leaving no casualties or damage, the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth said.
Israel’s Channel 1 reported earlier on Sunday that ten rockets were fired into southern Israel’s Ashkelon.
Three rockets fell on unpopulated areas near Beer Sheba, Israel's police chief Micky Rosenfeld wrote on his Twitter account.
Yedioth Ahronoth reported earlier that three rockets were fired on the southern Negev, while one rocket fell in southern Ovakim town.
Since July 7, Israel has been pounding the Gaza Strip with air and naval bombardments with the ostensible aim of halting rocket attacks from it.
The operation has, however, left 425 Gazans killed and 3008 others injured so far.
On Thursday night, Israel stepped up its offensive to include ground operations, sending thousands of troops into the embattled Palestinian territory.
Israel's military operation, dubbed operation "Protective Edge," is the self-proclaimed Jewish state's third major offensive against Gaza in the last six years.
