All of the Turkish dailies covered Turkish President Abdullah Gul's statement that "the messages given with well intentions were understood" and his call for restraint to the Turkish people.
Daily HABERTURK headlined Gul's statement "Well intentions were understood", adding his remarks on "the sense of democracy" saying that "democracy does not only mean elections," as daily VATAN headlined.
Daily BUGUN headlined "Call for restraint", highlighting Gul's warning to the Turkish people not to get manipulated by illegal organizations and dragged into the wrong direction.
Daily HURRIYET headlined "Message understood" detailing Gul's statement where he noted "Every individual should feel himself free in his own country to the greatest extent."
Daily SABAH headlined "Message understood, time for common sense," citing Gul's call for common sense as "From now on, we all must act with common sense and obey the rules."

Turkish dailies also covered Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statement about Taksim Gezi Park protests, where he harshly rejected the claims putting the blame of the incidents on his government and pointed out the foreign ties organizing and escalating the violence.
Daily BUGUN and STAR headlined "Incidents organized, with domestic and foreign ties," quoting Erdogan as saying, "It's no more about Taksim Gezi Park. The incidents are organized by extremists both in Turkey and abroad."
Daily MILLIYET highlighted Erdogan's use of the idiom, "Pot and pan, the same tone," where he criticized those beating pots and pans at night to protest the government and support the protestors.

Several Turkish dailies covered the comments of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu upon his meeting with President Gul at Presidential Palace on Monday.
Daily VATAN quoted Kilicdaroglu as saying "Do not damage public property" and stressed that he criticized Erdogan's words "We hardly hold the 50 pct (of people) back."
Daily HURRIYET and SABAH also headlined Kilicdaroglu's call upon President Gul to use his power and authority and take the situation in hand.
