Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of Akdeniz University Hospital stated that Kavdir was fighting for his life in intensive care unit since May 1.
The recipient of Turkey's second double arm transplant Kavdir, lost his arms and his right leg when he was a child. Kavdir was discharged from hospital 69 days after his surgery. In the beginning of May, he was taken to the hospital because of urinary tract infection complaints.
