IZMIR
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Turkey, Sweden and Brazil would keep holding consultations on international issues under a mechanism titled "trilateral solidarity for building peace".
Davutoglu, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt and Brazilian FM Antonio Patriota held a press conference at the Fifth Annual Ambassadors Conference in western province of Izmir.
Although Turkey, Sweden and Brazil were not geographically close, the three countries had similar perspectives in international policy, Davutoglu said.
Davutoglu said that he and Swedish FM Bildt would visit Brazil in spring and they would hold a trilateral meeting in Brazil in June 2013.
Bildt said that trilateral talks were fruitful, that's why the three countries decided to continue talks.
A statement on "trilateral solidarity for building peace" released after the press conference said, "representing three countries which are committed to play increasingly active roles in their respective regions as well as globally, the Ministers underlined their desire to deepen their coordination on a range of challenges that currently test the international community."
Bildt: UN Security Council should increase its peaceful efforts.

Delivering a speech at the Fifth Annual Ambassadors Conference Bildt said that there would be important developments in Europe as of 2013, stating that they would focus on global strategies of Europe in 2013.
Bildt said that Turkey has conducted important studies in the area of diplomacy and Turkish diplomats undersigned effective and important projects.
There was a common vision between Turkey and Sweden, he said, stating that Sweden was supporting Turkey's EU bid. Sweden also aimed to assist Turkey's reform process, he added.
Brazil invest in diplomacy and dialogue
Brazilian Foreign Minister Antonio Patriota said Turkey and Brazil were investing in diplomacy and dialogue, not in conflict.
Delivering a speech at Fifth Annual Ambassadors Conference Patriota said that friendly relations between Turkey and Brazil have improved remarkably since 2004.
Patriota said that Turkey and Brazil were important countries in its regions.
Brazil had the sixth largest economy in the world now and it would be the fourth or fifth largest one within next 10 years, he added.
