RIZE/BURSA (AA) - An extra time goal boosted Uruguay to the semi-finals Saturday with a 1-0 win over their powerful Spanish contenders in a quarter-final showdown in FIFA U-20 World in Turkey.
Avenatti, only six minutes after getting in, did the trick for Uruguay to upset the Spanish goalkeeper at 103rd minute.
In their semi-final match, Uruguay will face the winner of Iraq-South Korea game, which will play Sunday in the central province of Kayseri.
Saturday's other quarter-final game saw France clinching a decisive 4-0 win against Uzbekistan with scorers Sanogo, Pogba, Thauvin and Zouma.
France will take on the victor of Ghana-Chile match to be played in Istanbul also on Sunday.
