Fresh wave of explosions rocks Iranian capital Tehran, Iran

TEHRAN, Iran

A fresh wave of explosions rocked Tehran on Tuesday amid an ongoing US-Israeli war on Iran.

An Anadolu correspondent reported that blasts were heard in the Iranian capital, with smoke rising from the northern parts of the city.

Iranian media also reported explosions in the western and southern areas of the city.

Following the blasts, Iran’s air defense systems were activated.

Hostilities in the region have escalated since the US and Israeli strikes on Iran began on Feb. 28, with Tehran retaliating with repeated drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
