The death toll in the Iranian capital since the start of the US-Israeli war has reached 636 people, the head of Tehran's emergency services said Monday.
Another 6,846 people have been injured, said Mohammad Esmail Tavakkoli, according to Iranian media reports, adding that 430 locations in the city have been targeted.
Hostilities in the region have escalated since US and Israeli strikes on Iran began on Feb. 28.
Iran has retaliated with repeated drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
