Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 3.29% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 951,622 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 47,094 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,808 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 955,655 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 3.37% increase from Monday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 33.46% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 18.24% share, while hydroelectricity power plants comprised 16.91%.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,022 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,135 megawatt-hours.
