Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.78% to 829,610 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 18.00 with 40,217 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 28,281 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.
Electricity production totaled 830,944 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 2.83% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas totaling 224,414 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and lignite plants followed with 208,735 megawatt-hours and 140,421 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,072 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 5,738 megawatt-hours.
