Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.88% on Wednesday compared to the previous day to reach 922,564 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time, reaching 44,733 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,393 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 929,077 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.99% increase from Tuesday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 29.1% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 19.4% share, while hydroelectricity power plants comprised 14.3%.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,380 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 2,020 megawatt-hours.
