Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.11% on Wednesday compared to the previous day to reach 800,010 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 38,354 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 27,891 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production reached 810,380 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.01% decrease compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 31.78% of total electricity consumption on Wednesday, imported coal plants held a 22.11% share while lignite plants comprised 14.50%.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,544 megawatt-hours while imports reached 174 megawatt-hours.
