Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 5.84% to 885,431 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 39,030 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 29,331 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 839,104 megawatt-hours on Saturday with a 5.84% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas plants at 231,814 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal plants and wind power plants followed with 210,407 megawatt-hours and 105,623 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,401 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,990 megawatt-hours.
