Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.57% to 891,829 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 40,941 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,666 megawatt-hours at local time 07.00.
The majority of the output came from imported coal plants at 197,043 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and hydroelectricity plants followed with 187,761 megawatt-hours and 150,411 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 3,462 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 3,091 megawatt-hours.
