Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.33% to 822,007 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 38,572 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,396 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 816,013 megawatt-hours on Friday with a 0,67% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 210,774 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and natural gas plants followed with 164,483 megawatt-hours and 138,320 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,259 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 5,265 megawatt-hours.
