Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 0.39% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 919,691 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,576 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,730 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 898,797 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 0.58% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 25.8% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 24.3% and 14.2%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 10,236 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 31,130 megawatt-hours.
