KazanForum will begin on Tuesday in Kazan, running until 17 May, and bringing together representatives of international organizations, governments, financial institutions, and business leaders to discuss economic and social cooperation between Russia and Islamic countries.
The forum, for which Anadolu is the global communication partner, will focus on developments in economic and social ties between Russia and Islamic countries.
First held in 2009, KazanForum is seen as one of the main platforms for economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
KazanForum will feature sessions and events on Islamic finance, the halal industry, international cooperation, investment, trade, logistics, culture, tourism and media.

The official opening of the Kazan Halal Market international trade fair will take place on Wednesday. The fair will showcase halal-certified products, including food, clothing, accessories, cosmetics and items from various other sectors.
One of the forum's key events, Modest Fashion Day, will also be held on Wednesday at the Piramida Convention and Exhibition Centre. Designers from Russia and other countries will present their latest collections in modest fashion.
The program will also include the Russia & Islamic World Cooperation Expo, international real estate market events, cultural programs, exhibitions and various business forums.
Last year's forum hosted participants from 96 countries, with 8,440 people attending the business program. It featured 200 events and 148 sessions, and was covered by more than 500 media representatives.
