Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 0.03% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 916,960 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,205 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,580 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 930,327 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 0.07% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 22.5% of total generation, while wind and natural gas plants contributed 17% and 11.9%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,634 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 1,269 megawatt-hours.
