Norwegian energy giant Equinor announced multi-million dollar safety and automation agreements with five suppliers on Monday.
The more than 5 billion Norwegian krone ($553 million) framework agreements cover operations of all the company's installations on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) and onshore plants in Norway.
The agreements cover more than 500 daily operational jobs and ensure continuous maintenance, modifications and upgrades.
Cyber security will also be considered a part of the work scope.
Siemens, ABB, Honeywell, Emerson and Kongsberg Maritime will all provide services across Equinor's offshore installations.
The five agreements cover a five-year fixed period while three five-year extensions are optional depending on the lifetime of each installation.
"They may also be used by the company’s international activities and for new development projects," Equinor said.
