Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 3% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 957,434 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,982 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,416 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 946,655 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 2.96% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 23.8% of total generation, while wind and hydroelectricity plants contributed 17.9% and 14.3%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,367 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 17,146 megawatt-hours.
