Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 2.95% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 827,689 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
TEIAS data showed that hourly power consumption peaked at 38,896 megawatt-hours at 12 a.m. local time (0900 GMT) and the country's electricity consumption fell to 28,061 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 802,942 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 2.14% compared to Monday.
Imported coal plants contributed 28.8% of total generation, while natural gas plants and lignite power plants contributed 16.3% and 15.3%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 3,388 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 28,135 megawatt-hours.
