Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.19% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 945,358 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,034 megawatt-hours at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,740 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 934,194 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 0.04% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 27.4% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 24.6% and 11.8%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,410 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,574 megawatt-hours.
