Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 1.75% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 932,591 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,125 megawatt-hours at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,758 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 928,924 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of 2% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from hydroelectricity power plants constituted 24% of total generation, while imported coal plants and lignite plants contributed 23.3% and 11.7%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 4,682 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 8,349 megawatt-hours.
