Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.31% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 865,172 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,466 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,421 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 853,929 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a decrease of 0.35% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from imported coal constituted 23% of total generation, while wind and lignite plants contributed 19% and 13.8%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,832 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 17,075 megawatt-hours.
