Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 6.53% to 818,078 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 39,083 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 29,080 megawatt-hours at 06.00.
Total electricity production reached 821,447 megawatt-hours on Saturday with a 6.81% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas plants with 280,122 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal plants and hydroelectricity followed with 203,673 megawatt-hours and 127,205 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,676 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 3,307 megawatt-hours.
