Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.21% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 837,255 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 38,564 megawatt-hours at 19.00 local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,699 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 840,603 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 3.34% fall compared to Friday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30.3% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 22% while lignite comprised 16.2%.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 12,997 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,303 megawatt-hours.
