Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.76% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 827,503 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time reaching 39,598 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,172 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 837,900 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.77% decrease compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 27.07% of total electricity consumption on Friday, imported coal plants held a 23.09% share while wind plants comprised 17.98%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,262 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 865 megawatt-hours.
