Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.76% on Sunday compared to the previous day to reach 695,698 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 34,780 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 25,607 megawatt-hours at 10.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 697,146 megawatt-hours on Sunday, with an decrease of 1.06% from Saturday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30.8% of total electricity consumption, imported coal held a 26.8% share while lignite plants comprised 16.2%.
On Sunday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 4,517 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 3,070 megawatt-hours.
